Christmas 2008 at Losehill House Hotel & Spa

Make Christmas a most memorable occasion. Nestled into the hillside, in the rolling Vale of Edale the beautifully secluded Losehill House is the Peak Districts Hidden Gem.

Christmas Eve

We begin the festivities with a warm seasonal welcome. Our festive afternoon tea is served on arrival, with a glass of heart warming mulled wine; in the hot tub or our breathtaking lounge. Take time to enjoy the scenery and make the most of our leisure facilities and spa. Why not indulge in one of your complimentary spa treatments to relax you after your journey.

At 7.00pm a welcome reception with cocktails and canapés will give you the chance to meet your fellow guests, while our friendly team help you relax and take in the festive atmosphere. A 4-course dinner is served in the Restaurant from 8.00pm

Gastronomic delights will follow and the atmosphere enhanced by our regular pianist who will entertain with a repertoire of your favourite Christmas tunes.

Christmas Day

As befits the occasion, Christmas Day Breakfast is a leisurely and sumptuous affair with a glass of champagne to welcome in the day. You may then wander in the surrounding grounds enjoying the beauty of the countryside and the invigorating freshness of the air or maybe opening your gifts by the Christmas Tree in the Lounge.

Appetites stimulated, it is time for the Festive Feast for all with our 4-course Christmas Day Lunch which will commence with Champagne reception at 1.00pm with Lunch served from 2.00pm

After lunch we could suggest you wrap up warmly for a walk in the grounds or venture a little further into the spectacular countryside, quite literally on the doorstep - perhaps by torch or candlelight. On your return to the warm atmosphere of the lounge enjoy a glass of mulled wine and relax in front of the fire or make use of the spa facilities -a soothing swim in the indoor swimming pool, sauna or hot tub on the terrace!

In the evening, for those still with an appetite an informal hot and cold buffet is served. In mellow mood we now ask you to participate in our Christmas quiz, with a magnum of champagne on offer to the winners. Relax and recharge as we bring to a close an exciting and memorable day for all.

Boxing Day

As Boxing Day slowly dawns, take in the crisp air and ice cool slopes of Win Hill and start the day with a gentle Losehill Breakfast/Brunch.

The day is free to enjoy the wonders of the Peak District, you may wish to partake in the local custom of a bracing Boxing Day climb to the summit of Losehill or if you would like to stay a little closer to home why not enjoy one of the many spa treatments on offer. No Boxing Day lunch is complete without Turkey sandwiches, packed lunches are provided or if you wish a 2-course light lunch will be available, between 12.00 and 2.00pm.

During the evening its time dress up and indulge once again for our Black Tie sumptuous 4-course dinner, with light entertainment and melodies from our pianist and local magician. Do not forget to leave room for coffee and mince pies.

27th December

As the final day of your festive break arrives, start the morning with a gentle swim and if you have not already, Indulge yourself with a soothing back massage or various treatments we have to offer you. Make the most of a late breakfast/brunch and take in those final views and memories for one last time as we bid you a fond farewell and hope to welcome you back next year for another relaxing Christmas break with Losehill House. Or for the lucky ones staying a few days more the relaxation continues….

Double Rooms-£495 per person
Kings Rooms- £555 per person
Executive Kings Rooms - £575 per person
Family rooms are available at the Kings rate, per adult plus an additional £50 per night per child or £100 per night per additional adult.

The prices include VAT and all meals and aperitifs mentioned along with a Complimentary 1/2 hour Spa Treatment per adult to be taken any day other than Christmas Day when the Spa Treatment Rooms will be closed.

Additional nights are available at the following special dinner, bed and breakfast rates;

Wine, spirits and aperitifs other than the Champagne and Mulled Wine mentioned above are chargeable as are any of our wonderful Spa Treatments taken in addition to your complimentary 1/2hr treatment.
